Nun stellt sich also die Frage: Wann ist Leder nachhaltig? Ein Beispiel hierf\u00fcr ist der internationale Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft (IVN). Dieser Verband hat einen Kriterienkatalog entwickelt, welcher Leder Produkte, die das IVN Siegel tragen als nachhaltig produziert kennzeichnet. Des Weiteren m\u00fcssen Produkte die dieses Siegel besitzen einen nachhaltigen Produktionsprozess aufweisen k\u00f6nnen. Ansonsten darf das Siegel nicht vergeben werden.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;15px&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10378&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;]\n<blockquote class=\"edgtf-blockquote-shortcode\"  >\n\t<span class=\"edgtf-icon-quotations-holder\">\n\t\t<span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"edgtf-icon-font-elegant icon_quotations_alt \" ><\/span>\t<\/span>\n\t<span class=\"edgtf-blockquote-text\">Oft kann veganes Leder die Eigenschaften von echtem Leder nicht ersetzen, da die Alternativen beispielsweise h\u00e4ufig nicht sehr rei\u00dffest, strapazierf\u00e4hig, langlebig oder atmungsaktiv sind.<\/span>\n<\/blockquote>[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;70px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div id=\"ivn\" class=\"sprung\"><\/div>\n<h3>Vorschriften f\u00fcr IVN Leder<\/h3>\n<p>Solche nachhaltigen Produktionsprozesse sind beispielsweise durch eine pflanzliche Gerbung des Leders gekennzeichnet. Es handelt sich also bei dem IVN Siegel um ein strenges \u00d6ko-Siegel. Au\u00dferdem ist die Verwendung von Chrom beim Gerbungsprozess des Leders untersagt. Die H\u00e4ute d\u00fcrfen nur als Nebenprodukt der Fleischproduktion entstehen. Ebenso sind umweltbelastende Chemikalien verboten. Zudem wird sichergestellt, dass die am Produktionsprozess teilhabenden Arbeitskr\u00e4fte gerecht entlohnt werden. Auch die Umweltauflagen betreffend sind die Standards in Europa im Durchschnitt deutlich h\u00f6her als in Entwicklungsl\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n<p>Auch in Europa produziertes und gegerbtes Leder unterliegt seit dem 1. Mai 2015 strengeren Auflagen. Der allgemeine Grenzwert f\u00fcr Chrom (VI) f\u00fcr Lederprodukte oder Artikel die Leder enthalten wurde seit diesem Datum heruntergesetzt. So auch die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leatherworkinggroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leather Working Group<\/a> beit der unsere Lieferanten Mitglieder sind. All unsere Lieferanten sind bei der Beurteilung der Umweltleistung mit Medaillen Level Silber oder Bronze gerankt. Der Fakt, dass in den meisten F\u00e4llen kein einheitliches Siegel oder Kennzeichnung verwendet werden muss und Verk\u00e4ufer keinen gro\u00dfen Auflagen beim Absatz ihrer Produkte unterlegen sind, macht die Nachverfolgung des Produktionsprozesses f\u00fcr Endverbraucher oftmals schwierig und schwer einsehbar.
