Not only casual, but also sustainable!
The strap of our open hut shoe is made out of cut remains of ski climbing skins. The upcycling Project was developed with the ski climbing skin manufacturer Contour form Austria.
They collect their production waste which will be reused in our shoes. The skins give our shoe the unique look.We combine the ski climbing skin with other natural materials and create a very practical and lightweigth hutschoe for all skiers and mountaineers. Of course, the Shoes can be worn at home- with or without socks ;-)The upper is made of real wool felt, which ensures a pleasantly soft and warm foot climate. With the slip resistant cork rubber sole you have a secure grip even on wet tile floors. Also your feet won't get wet if you watch the night sky in front of the hut.
By the way, the cork for these soles comes mostly from cork oaks from Portugal, which grow not far from our production. For a soft feeling, we have incorporated an extra cushioning in the front foot aera, your feet can recover even better after the tight mountaineering or ski touring boots.
For cleaning, we recommend wahsing the shoes either by hand or in the washing net in the wool washing program.

- The shoes are normal size. The belt is a little bit stiff in the beginning but will be run in in a short period.

- this Doghammer sandal is handcrafted in our shoe factory in Portugal. The Portuguese have since become known for their high-quality shoemaking. We visit our manufactory and suppliers several times a year and are always amazed at the enthusiasm and dedication of this ancient craft. We have consciously chosen a family-run production that fits in with their ideals and their way of working to our philosophy of sustainability and a fair production. During our visits, it is not uncommon for us to stand by the grinding machine ourselves and work on new ideas with the employees of the factory.

Gutes Produkt mit kleinem Mangel
Ich habe bereits mittlerweile das dritte Paar, Verarbeitung ist sehr gut allerdings nutzt sich das Material von der Innensohle sehr stark und sehr schnell ab. Länger als ein Jahr hat die Innensohle nie gehalten. Aber ich finde das Produkt super.

Sehr gut verarbeitet, super angenehm zu tragen. Die Idee mit der Verwertung der Reste aus der Skitourenfellproduktion finde ich genial!

Die Hüttenschuhe sind perfekt, ich habe sie gleich 5 Tage bei einem Skitour-Wochenende im Einsatz gehabt, trotz offener Schuhe gab's keine kalten Füße :-)
Freiheit für deine Füße
Nach einer langen Tour gibt’s kaum was Besseres, als in unsere bequemen Hüttenschuhe zu schlüpfen - perfekt für entspannte Hüttenabende, wenn deine Füße sich nach Freiheit sehnen.
