cork

korkeiche-fuer-schuhe

Whether in the sole or as an upper - you can now find cork in each of our shoes. It is grown in Portugal, where the cork oak harvest has a long tradition. We support the Portuguese tradition and economy and benefit from short transport routes. The extraction of cork is particularly environmentally friendly, since only the bark of the tree is used and no oak has to be felled. Within nine years, the cork oak forms a new bark, which is then carefully peeled by hand. A peeled cork oak binds three times more CO² than unshelled trees.

The cork shoe is ...

  • breathable for a comfortable wearing experience
  • temperaturregulating for a good foot climate
  • water repellent for a dry wearing
  • odorless against an unpleasant smell
  • easy care for your next challenge

wool

schafwolle-materialinformation-doghammer

Our hut shoes only become really friendly through the wool. In our toe separators and closed shoes you will find them processed as wool felt or as merino wool lining. We also attach particular importance to the origin of our materials, so the wool lining for our hut shoes comes from Spain and Portugal, and the wool felt comes from Italy. We get the muesling free merino wool from a Portuguese spinning mill.

We have wool for your feet because ...

  • comfortably warm even on colder mountain huts
  • temperaturregulating for a comfortable foot climate
  • moisture control for a dry foot
  • odorless against an unpleasant smell
  • easy care for your next mountain trip

coconut

kokosfaser-innensohlen-doghammer

Coconut fiber is a by-product of coconut milk. The fiber is the core covering and serves as protection for the actual fruit. After several weeks of storage in water and subsequent drying, the coconut fiber is processed into fabrics or, for example, for the construction industry into thermal insulation mats. We use the coconut fiber on the bottom of our insoles.

The materials inside also count ...

  • antibacterial against an unpleasant smell
  • insulating for a comfortable wearing experience
  • moisture control for a dry foot
