Women’s mountain hut slippers
With our cosy and sustainable felt and woollen hut slippers for women, you’ll keep your feet warm even in winter. Whether at home or in a mountain hut, these eco-friendly hut slippers ensure your feet stay comfortable. For all women who suffer from particularly cold feet, we recommend our closed-toe woollen mountain hut slippers for women, known as the ‘Hütte-zua’. Not only is the strap lined with sheep’s wool, but the upper is also made of wool. For all ladies who like something a bit more unusual: take a look at our upcycled mountain hut slippers made from ski climbing skins. And the all-season mountain hut slipper is the so-called ‘Hütte-offen’.

What makes our women’s slippers so special?
As well as being made from sustainable materials, it is above all their exceptional comfort that sets our hut shoes apart. Our ethically produced hut shoes for women keep your feet wonderfully warm, are pleasantly light and flexible, yet still provide a secure grip thanks to their non-slip soles. The natural materials used – wool and cork – make them durable and robust, whilst their water- and dirt-repellent properties mean they are particularly easy to care for and hygienic. Wool is virtually self-cleaning and has antibacterial properties, so odours don’t stand a chance. Like cork, wool regulates temperature and absorbs moisture. This keeps your feet comfortably dry at all times and prevents that cold, damp feeling you get in shoes made from synthetic materials.
Whether as a practical travel companion or part of your mountain hut kit for hiking, mountaineering or skiing, or simply as comfortable slippers for everyday use: once you’ve slipped into our ‘Hüttenschua’, you won’t want to take them off again in a hurry!
What types of women’s hut shoes do we offer?
We offer our eco-friendly women’s mountain slippers in a range of styles: as open or closed slip-ons, as well as our ‘Hütte-Renner’ model – airy toe-separated slippers with a warm woollen insole and padded felt straps.
Our ‘Hütte-zua’ and ‘Hütte-offen’ models are available in numerous colour combinations, as well as in upcycled versions, for which we recycle offcuts from ski climbing skin production. To this end, we collaborate with ski climbing manufacturers Contour and Kästle, whose offcuts we repurpose as one of the main components of our stylish and unique women’s hut slippers.
You can wear our women’s hut slippers with or without socks. If you’re one of those who’s ‘notoriously sensitive to the cold’, simply order your women’s slippers one size larger than usual. That way, when you get home, you can comfortably slip on a pair of thick socks before slipping into your slippers and letting the good Lord take care of the rest.
What are our women’s slippers made of?
Whether it’s a trendy mountain hut favourite, an open or closed slip-on style: one of the main components of our comfortable mountain hut slippers is wool. We craft both our women’s and men’s styles from high-quality wool felt, which – just like the cork used for the soles – is sustainably produced or sourced in Portugal. To ensure that our sustainable women’s hut shoes provide long-lasting enjoyment, comfort, sturdiness and durability are just as important to us in the manufacture of our shoes as a fashionable design.
However, we also attach great importance to the origin of our raw materials and the production conditions under which our women’s and men’s slippers are made. For this reason, we use only materials that are fair and environmentally friendly. This enables us to offer functional, sustainably manufactured shoes that not only look good but also feel good – and which benefit both people and nature through the considerate use of resources and the safeguarding of fair working conditions.
Where can I wear women’s hut shoes?
Our cosy, sustainable women’s hut shoes aren’t just practical companions – and, thanks to their small pack size and light weight, extremely luggage-friendly – for hiking or skiing. They’re also wonderful to wear as slippers! Especially during the colder months, their warm wool lining provides exceptional comfort and keeps your feet nice and warm – whether at home or on the go. When travelling, they’re a lightweight and compact little piece of ‘home’ that brings cosy comfort anytime, anywhere. Our women’s hut slippers are a real hidden gem as a gift, because who wouldn’t want warm, softly cushioned feet at the end of a long (outdoor) day?
Incidentally, our ethically sourced women’s slippers also provide exactly that during a visit to your favourite spa or wellness hotel. Although the cork sole isn’t designed for permanently wet floors, they make walking through the relaxation area or into the spa restaurant between treatments or sauna sessions all the more quiet and comfortable!
