What sets our winter trainers apart from our other sustainable trainers?
Our winter trainers combine sustainable materials with extra warmth. Unlike our classic trainers, the Arctic Traveller is lined with mulesing-free merino wool, ensuring a comfortably warm feel even in cold temperatures. The non-slip sole offers a secure grip, whilst the removable cork insole regulates temperature and insulates against the cold from below. What are our eco-friendly winter trainers made of?
With our Traveller and Adventurer ranges, we’ve designed sustainable and stylish all-round trainers that will see you through the whole year – their dirt- and water-repellent upper, made from cork, wool felt or a vegan wool felt alternative made from recycled PET bottles will reliably see you through the cold and wet season. For added comfort, we’ve also developed our Arctic Traveller model – a winter trainer for men and women, available in felt or leather, featuring a warm lining made from cosy sheep’s wool. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating and antibacterial, and its ability to absorb many times its own weight in moisture ensures a pleasantly dry environment for your feet.
Together with the cork incorporated into the footbed and sole, the woollen lining of our winter trainers keeps your feet nice and warm even in cold temperatures, whilst the weather-resistant upper withstands rain or snow. The treaded, non-slip sole made from cork and rubber gives you a firm grip even on wet surfaces. Like all our shoes, our winter trainers are also handmade in Portugal – fairly, sustainably and with the smallest possible environmental footprint.
What makes our winter trainers stand out

This slip-on trainer, styled like a classic Chelsea boot with a higher shaft, is available as a winter trainer for both women and men in two versions – either with sturdy woollen felt or leather as the upper material. As the felt is produced without chemical bleaching agents and left in its most natural form, the colour may vary slightly from pair to pair.
Naturally, the wool we use for the wool felt as well as the warm lining of our winter trainers is 100% mulesing-free, as we place great importance not only on environmental protection but also on animal welfare! If you choose the leather version of the Arctic Traveller, you can be sure that it has been gently and ecologically tanned in accordance with current EU directives and further processed in Portugal. It moulds itself individually to the shape of your foot and develops a natural patina over time. A stylish, colour-contrasting rubber insert in the boot’s upper makes them easy to slip on and off. The removable, anatomically shaped cork insole cushions your steps thanks to a special cushioning pad in the heel area.
