What sets our vegan trainers apart from the other trainers in our range?

As we not only place great importance on fair working conditions, environmental protection and the conservation of resources, but also advocate a responsible approach to people and nature, we quickly came up with the idea of adding vegan trainers to our range alongside our sustainable trainers made from cork and leather. Our vegan trainer models in the Natural and Textile Commuter ranges are made entirely without any animal-derived products. Instead of wool felt or leather, our vegan trainers for women and men are made using materials such as faux leather, linen or cork. This means that our vegan trainers, produced without any animal products, are in no way inferior to our sustainable leather and cork trainers.
What materials are our vegan trainers made from?
For the upper of our vegan trainers, we use recycled cork – most of which comes from Portugal – as well as faux leather or recycled textiles made from cotton or PET. All materials are dirt- and water-repellent, abrasion-resistant and particularly durable. This results in sturdy yet lightweight shoes that are perfect for an active everyday life. The flexible outdoor sole is made from rubber and cork and, thanks to its slip-resistant properties, provides a secure grip on a wide variety of surfaces. An additional cushioning layer made from recycled rubber and cork ensures stability and comfort. Depending on the model, we combine different materials – for example, in the Natural Commuter Cork, we pair cork with a vegan leather alternative. The removable cork insole absorbs moisture and regulates temperature, helping to maintain a comfortable foot environment. What makes our vegan trainers so comfortable to wear?
The exceptional comfort of our vegan trainers stems from the combination of lightweight materials and a well-thought-out design. Recycled cork in the removable insole helps regulate temperature, absorbs moisture and ensures a pleasantly dry foot environment. The multi-layered insole, made from cork, EVA and coconut fibre, noticeably cushions every step and supports a smooth roll-off. At the same time, the flexible outsole offers secure grip, without restricting the foot’s natural movement.
